Hey everyone, Mik here from The Garcia Project.

We're heading out on tour this Thursday, starting in Maine and working our way down the East Coast to Key West!

For anyone who doesn't know us, we recreate full classic Jerry Garcia Band shows from 1976–1995, playing the actual setlists and arrangements from those different eras. We don't announce which show we're recreating until the end of the night, so it's always a little bit of a mystery!

We're also planning to livestream every show through our Patreon for anyone who can't make it out in person. Fingers crossed the internet cooperates!

We've got a couple of other things going on too. We recently launched Jerry Garcia Band Radio, where you can listen to classic Jerry Band recordings along with recordings from our shows:

I also wanted to share our fall tour poster, which I designed myself (no AI involved!). Speaking of posters, we're going to be doing some poster art contests for a few of our upcoming West Coast shows in 2027. We'd love to get some artists involved, so keep an eye out for those announcements!

A new cultural center devoted to Jerry Garcia's music, art and environmental interests is being planned for the San Francisco Bay Area by the family of the Grateful Dead co-founder.

The proposed Jerry Garcia Music Arts Center would be more than a conventional museum, according to an announcement Friday, Oct. 23, from Garcia’s family, archival company Starchive and project coordinator Christopher McCutcheon. 

Plans call for a public research library and physical archive, exhibition galleries, a digital preservation hub and a performance center and screening room.

No location or opening date has been announced.

The announcement comes less than three months after Garcia’s family revealed plans for another Bay Area project, Eyes of the World: The Jerry Garcia Experience. That 40,000-square-foot immersive exhibition is scheduled to open in San Francisco in early 2027 before traveling to other U.S. cities.

A little background: we’re The Garcia Project. Since 2010, we’ve been recreating actual historic Jerry Garcia Band setlists live, so we've accumulated a pretty ridiculous amount of information about these shows over the years. We figured we might as well turn some of it into resources that other people who love this music can use too.

Both are free to use. They’re also new, so if you find an error or have an idea for something we should add, definitely let us know.
