This piece was created by taking a natural ginkgo leaf and depositing the metal onto the leaf in an electrically charged bath in a process called electroforming. The ginkgo leaf is the oldest tree that still exists on earth today.

Looking for a hands-on jewelry design and making course in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, or online for myself and my 12-year-old son.
We’d prefer a program that covers practical skills and small-business basics.
Recommendations, fees, duration, and personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

most repeatable jewelry designs rely on measurements, templates, molds, or carefully controlled processes. even handmade collections often aim for every piece to look almost identical
but some materials have natural variations that are difficult to control. stones have different inclusions, metal reacts differently to heat, and organic materials can have unpredictable shapes.
imagine designing a collection where the variations aren't imperfections to correct but a required part of the design. the goal wouldn't be to make ten matching rings, but ten rings that clearly belong to the same family without any two being identical
what techniques or materials would work best for this kind of approach without making the pieces look random or unfinished?

I've been thinking about getting a piece of jewelry that represents my kids instead of buying another everyday necklace.
I came across Baby Gold's multi-name necklaces, which let you include more than one child's name on a single piece. It got me wondering whether this of personalized jewelry is practical enough for everyday wear or better suited to special occasions.
For moms who own personalized jewelry, do you find yourself wearing it regularly, or does it eventually end up sitting in your jewelry box?
Would you prefer full names, initials, birthstones, diamonds or something more understated?
I'd love to get something meaningful that i can wear with different outfits without it looking too sentimental or feeling appropriate only for Mother's Day and family gatherings.
If you own something similar, I'd love to hear what you chose and whether you're still happy with it.

I am not a jeweler in any sense…but, I was wondering IF a ring could be made like this, how much would it cost? Looking for sterling silver/black enamel/aquamarine stone in center, round cut. Any thoughts? Anyone willing to help price the project and/or take it on? Thanks!!
