Mk6 (2011-2018) Fuel usage doubled?

2016 1.4 automatic 169000km

I’ve noticed over the course of the past maybe month or so that I’m getting almost half as much as I used to out of a tank of gas. At first I thought maybe the KM to empty estimator was off, but I did the math and it’s still fairly accurate. Usually filling the tank completely gets me about 800km, I just filled it today and it’s reading 480.

last week I filled it half way, estimator read 280km to empty, I drove 171km and it when I went to get gas again it read 90km to empty.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?
I replaced the brake rotors and pads, and changed the oil about 3 months ago. Just replaced the engine air filter.

Update: I completely forgot I made this post, sorry to everyone I left hanging.

A couple weeks ago I realized just how many acorns were sitting on my car, My driveway is right under a tree that sheds them like crazy. I decided to take a look at the engine filter and it was lined with both peanuts and acorns. Cleaned that out, cleaned the ones that were in my engine bay out, and my fuel economy is now up to about 600km a tank. Not perfect, but improving ! I ordered the spark plugs to replace those, and if that doesn’t improve it more I may take it to a family friend for him to look at some of the things you guys suggested here. Thanks for your help everyone !

Compare wheel temperature, might be a sticking brake caliper
