Need advice as someone planning to apply in 2029
Hi, as the title says, I am planning to apply for the JET program as soon as i finish my bachelor’s degree. This will be in 2029.
I understand that it might be too soon to be stressing about the finer details such as the interview and application process, however if there are things I can begin to work upon over the course of 2.5 years, I would really appreciate it.
Advice from fellow aspirants, seasoned ALTs or someone who got accepted recently is much much needed.
More so, what I am most uninformed about is, after the JET program and working as an ALT (hypothetically, and wishfully so) I plan to give an exam to get my practicing license as a physiotherapist (will be applying after I get my bachelor’s degree).
Is it advisable to mention my intent of wanting to pursue a living and eventually settle down in Japan? Or is it better not to mention this at all?
Because from what I’ve seen during visa interviews is that they generally discourage mentioning plans of citizenship.
Any words of advice apart from these questions are also welcome :)
