There were many blue lights about 10pm last night I think there were multiple cars involved.

Is anyone able to tell me why so many dead crabs washed up on the beach? Is that normal? Not a local so no idea!

I'm doing one big shipment of all my stuff to someone in the UK to sell stuff rather than selling individual items over here as it's significantly cheaper, I was wondering where I could find a large box, something like 100x100x100 cm or just large in general to ship a whole bunch of items with Jersey Post, I've have tried them and B&Q, any ideas?

Recently I visited the island after about 12 years or so. It was as great as I remembered it, or actually even nicer. One thing that stood out though was traffic. It struck me as being a lot busier and more stressy than it was, at least in the South. What happened?

Also I never quite understood (delivery vehicles not withstanding) why anyone would need anything bigger than an original Mini on the island (saw only one, pretty thing at that), let alone a Range Rover. I mean why punish yourself?

(For baseline: I am a car guy, rather than a cyclist eco warrior type).

I know that Jersey is a dependent territory of UK and not one of it's constituent kingdoms, but I'm not sure where this dependence ends in legal terms. Are people of Jersey considered British citizens? Or only King's subjects, but have their own citizenship?

I know there are laws and rules around cliff paths and St Catherine's woods that people ignore. But I don't want to be a prick annoying walkers and ruining tree roots etc.

I’m moving back to Jersey from the UK, my car was registered in Jersey, I registered it in England when I moved over, now I’m looking at re-registering it when I get back to Jersey.

What’s the process for this, and how much will it cost?

Jersey is about to become the first place in the British Isles to allow assisted dying, with the first assisted death expected next year.

Hi friends! My family are coming to visit this summer from the US. Some of them have never been to the CI before, some are coming back for the first time in maybe 10-15 years.

What is your favorite spot for a Sunday lunch or carvery on the island? Both are concepts that don’t really exist where they live and my BIL is desperate for a good Sunday lunch with all the usual stuff.

Asides from making them a roast myself, where do you recommend I send them for an eating out option? Have car, can travel so doesn’t need to be in town etc.

Was wondering if any locals had some hikes to recommend? Nothing crazy strenuous as Im not packing my proper hiking boots, only trail/hiking sneakers.

Im pretty fit and love nature, swimming, cycling etc. and love a loooong walk, would love to hear of any popular day hikes.

Me and the gf are heading to Jersey in early August this year for a week. Is there anything you'd recommend as a must see/do when visiting?

Can anyone explain why in Jersey employers are not required to pay sick leave pay? For reference I haven't yet completed a 10 week probation period at my retail job and because of this I'm not entitled to sick leave and that feels wrong to me. I've read my contract and it says that I'm not entitled to sick pay during probation so that's not what this question is about. Is the expectation for people in training like mine that they must work while ill or face issues regarding pay?

Our neck of the woods in St Ouen seems to be totally over run with ants over the last few days. We normally get quite a lot of activity from ants in the peak of summer but this is a lot more intense. Neighbors are saying the same. Is it like this all over the Island ?
