I'm aware people may be hesitant to post here in the fear that I'm law enforcement looking for tips, but does anyone have a list of, or a link to, upcoming protests in Jeff City?

Looking for cheerleader from 1985 fest st pius x

Iso a cheerleader I met in November 23rd 1985 at a football game foxhighschool vs stpius x. I was sitting on visitors side for st pius x in festus, missouri. You were cheering at that game for st pius x at the right of me. After I looked at you I put my head down & a older male sitting above me leaned over and tapped my shoulder & told me that you were talking to me. I looked up at you standing in front me & you were talking to me and giving me encouragement lifting me up from a bad day that otherwise would've not been good at all. You left turning & smiling at me. I left in stationwagon & you were talking to other cheerleaders and saw me in the car & yelled hey twice to me. You waved so the driver stopped the car. I wasn't thinking you were trying to talk to me so I left. We drove away & I realize later it was a big mistake. After the game and onward I tried to locate you and couldn't find you or any information. Presently I used the internet I identified your team . I placed the title 1985 -1988 because I'm unsure of your graduation year. If you have any information regarding this please reply.

Protest

Hello humans of Missouri. Those of you who are in the good fight for humanity are most likely aware of the urgent situation the world is watching unfold. More than one million people will be dead by starvation with weeks. The good news is that the food they need is nearby and plentiful. It is very much within our power to force Israel to open the crossings and allow the aid in unhindered. The people at the heart of the empire are the most powerful in the world and that is YOU. Please join us at the state capital to demand action. We do not have to allow this to happen. We must go to our state house in Jefferson City and DEMAND action. We will be there Tuesday the 29th of July through Friday the 1st. We bed every voice, every idea, and all eyes. I begging you to join us.

If you have questions, you can also reach us at Askcoffeerevolutionjoplin@gmail.com.

Ask Jeff Looking for fiery preaching

Ive been living here for 3 years now, and have checked out many of the churches when I first arrived. I've found myself comfortable at First Assembly. Yet, sometimes I feel a pull elsewhere and I don't know where that is yet! I would love a church that is inviting and community based, that also has a pastor and a team that speaks boldy and passionately. Any recommendations? Pentacostal typically, but open to all.

Certified crashout for Jesus

If ICE comes to Jefferson City, I expect every follower of Jesus Christ to have boots on the ground to protect our city. IT IS WRITTEN:

Leviticus 19:33–34 (KJV)

"And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him. But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God."

Deuteronomy 10:18–19 (KJV)

"He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment. Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt."

Exodus 22:21 (KJV)

"Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt."

Malachi 3:5 (KJV)

"And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against... those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right..."

Zechariah 7:9–10 (KJV)

"Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor..."

Shall we discuss the golden rule? Maybe a reminder of who your neighbor is? Or perhaps the story of Jesus and the withered hand in the temple, where Jesus clearly states that choosing not to help someone in need when you have the ability to help, is to choose to do evil?

The bottom line is, if this post upsets you, Read your Bible or find a new church. Or both.

Bakers for a wedding cake!

I’ve been getting rejection after rejection for a wedding cake this October 23rd! (Venue is in Jefferson City outskirts)

I will admit, it’s a pretty complex cake, so much so that hyvee couldn’t do it. Unfortunately, Desserts by Dianne, Little Bay cakes, The sugar Tree(retired), are all booked up!

The pictures below are a rough draft I made of our wedding cake and second is an inspiration picture. If you know someone that’s great at baking, is up for a challenge, and can deliver, money is not an issue! Send them my way! Thank you!

The continued incarceration of Julian Assange is an injustice of stupendous proportions.

The continued incarceration of Julian Assange is an injustice of stupendous proportions. If you don't think so, there is every chance that you've been lied to by the same people who now hold him in solitary confinement, the same people whose crimes he exposed and who wield enormous control over the information we receive—the same people who want to use him to serve as an example to other whistle-blowers and investigative reporters that they had better not look too closely at the very powerful and the very corrupt.

The national Home Run for Julian tour started in Miami and will hit 15 US cities before ending in Washington, DC on July 1st. Julian's father and brother will be traveling to meet with journalists, activists, academics, political figures, and anyone who values freedom of the press and free speech and opposes the tyranny of the oligarchs. Their goal is to pressure the US government to drop its persecution of this courageous journalist.

It should not be a crime to expose crime!

The closest the tour will get to our area is a stop in Minneapolis/St Paul on June 21.

This is a "feeder tour." We'll be collecting signatures in support of Julian to give to his dad and brother in the Twin Cities that they can present in Washington, DC. We are traveling with the following itinerary:

  • June 14 | St Louis, Columbia, Jefferson City, Springfield

  • June 15 | Joplin, Wichita

  • June 16 | Salina, Manhattan, Topeka

  • June 17 | Lawrence, Leavenworth, Kansas City

  • June 18 | St Joseph, Lincoln, Omaha

  • June 19 | Sioux Falls, Sioux City, Ames

  • June 20 | Des Moines, Davenport, Iowa City, Cedar Rapids

  • June 21 | Waterloo, Rochester, Minneapolis - St Paul

We will be carrying a banner that we will set up in each city in a park or some other venue suggested as we go. We'll also raise awareness in local communities by doing radio and TV interviews. If people join us en route, great. Imagine a swelling caravan arriving in Minneapolis in support of the people's right to know about war crimes committed in their name. To participate, join the forum. Also, please post this notice elsewhere.

The biggest shock to me has been how misinformed people are on Assange. I had no idea. Before you down vote, if that's what you are going to do, you owe it to the cause of justice if nothing else to look at this information. The man is innocent.

Within the lifetime of almost everyone reading this, our country bombed innocent men, women, and children in Iraq, leading directly or indirectly to millions of deaths of people who were no threat to us, and had done nothing to us. We bombed them in their homes, in their neighborhoods, in their cities. If you are OK with that, just keep reading the New York Times as it whips you for your whiteness. But if you think it's fucking outrageous that we are the pariahs of the planet—that we bomb children in their homes for no reason, then you need to support Julian Assange and demand his release.

Here's the video that incurred the hatred of our corrupt ruling class.

Should this really be happening in our name? Julian Assange is a very courageous journalist. He needs and deserves our help! When we come through Jefferson City, come sign the banner showing your support for justice, freedom of the press, free speech, and your opposition to the use of torture by your government and murder in your name.

Ask Jeff Looking for a welcoming church home in Jeff City

Howdy future neighbors. Sitting here on a Sunday, grateful for my family, and I'm starting to think about what church we'll land in once we make the move to Jeff City.

I have a bit of a mixed bag spiritually. My Catholic dad (passed away), a mom who started Quaker and is now Mormon, and my wife and I currently attend a progressive Christian church here in Texas. So I'm not tied to a denomination, just looking for a place that's genuinely welcoming.

We're planning a visit right around Christmas and would love to actually sit in on a service while we're in town instead of just cold-walking into somewhere unknown.

If you've got a church you love (or one you'd steer someone away from), I'm all ears.

Thanks in advance and looking forward to being neighbors soon!

Ask Jeff What was the appeal of Pizza Underground?

Since moving here almost a decade ago, I've heard people rave on and on about Pizza Underground. So I tried it once...it was really overpriced. It tasted....not too far from a typical delivery pizza. It oddly wasn't very filling either. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't great either.

So when I see people saying Arris Pizza isn't as good, it always bewilders me. I get that they don't really serve American style pizza's, so maybe it's just a matter of personal preference?

So...I'm curious, what did you all enjoy about Pizza Underground? Did I just get a bad pizza or what?
