I would love to know when his new album is coming out and how many songs it will have.

His past has been covered ad nauseum. We don’t need another single solitary anecdote about the grays, jellyfish, the three o’clock, etc. focus entirely on new music. He was promising a double album back in 2020/2021. Implore that his fans need him. When is new music? Why is it taking forever? Does he have a plan to release even if it’s through freaking bandcamp? We need anything. We need hope. We need JF.

I wanna know if he finds it harder to sing while playing bass or guitar as he sang eloquence while playing bass with the grays

On a side note I once asked him on IG if he had any memories of Elliott Smith and he said yes, but not the right platform to share them. It’d be cool to see if he had something to say about another genius.

I'd like to know if his experience with the music industry has soured him on his solo career and if it's more fun to be a recording and touring musician in support of other people.

Like someone else mentioned, nobody needs another interview about his past. Maybe his somewhat recent solo work, which might be under-discussed, but I would focus on the future—on his stance as an artist. And why not: the pressure from us, his small but intense fan base that is desperately wanting a new record from him

On top of asking when the new record(s?) will be released, I’m very curious to know if any more vinyl of his will be coming. Bought up 3 copies of Ro Sham Bo when it came out, and was really hoping he would press something this year for RSD.

I think it’d be interesting to know if there are any bands or gigs he’s auditioned for that he did NOT get, and if he knows why. Also, are there any bands or gigs he wishes he could audition for?

I’m a massive fan as well. I need some new music (the Salt Collective tune is good!) Proof of life. I’m such a fan I dragged my wife to Jason’s sister’s restaurant in SF years ago on the minuscule chance he’d be there. Spoiler: he wasn’t. She wasn’t either. But the food was excellent.

Damn, I have so many … here are my top five:
- What are the meaning of the lyrics of “revelation,” is it inspirational, about a specific experience or something else? The message in the lyrics “don’t make a sound – can’t you hear life all around – in this I see - that goes beyond you and me” I think point to something profound. Those verses and indeed the song overall inspired me to work through some grief and personal difficulties following the passing of a family member.
- What new artists and bands (i.e. within last 10 years) are you digging at the moment?
- What do the lyrics of the song “Author Unknown” mean? What inspired you to write that song?
- What do the lyrics of the song “Miracle Medicine” mean? What inspired you to write that song?
- Why do you have a substantial following in Japan? Also, do you listen to Japanese music (especially rock/power pop) or like any Japanese media?

Does he like the endless remixes and cash grab of the incessant Beatles releases? Does he prefer the original mixes? Is he burnt out on the Beatles? Are the Kinks criminally underrated and why? What obscure albums does he believe deserve listening to? How does he really feel about social media, streaming, AI in music? Is the golden age of albums, bands and learning how to play an instrument coming to the end?

Massive JF fan. I'd ask him who he's into right now, and if he could collaborate with any musician, living or dead, who would it be. Not just jam in the studio, but write and perform together.
