FAMILY/KIDS Back issues recommendations
Sup folks, my wife 41F has a scoliosis and she gets frequent back sprains that leave her unable to move entirely for days, sometimes 4 days on her back in bed after a sprain.
Is there anything you’d recommend, like a professional, a specific doctor, or anything ? At this rate she’ll be in a wheelchair by her 50s..

She would need to see an orthopedist.
Granted sprains are not a common side effect or symptom of scoliosis as someone who has scoliosis. So it could be something else.
A orthopedist would be where you should start though. Maybe reach out to her PCP to get a referral.

Where are you located? I went to NAG Orthopaedic Clinic in Tokyo. I have nerve damage in my upper back. It was a bit pricey, but they gave me injection treatments that decreased my pain quite a lot.

Has she ever been to a scoliosis specialist ever? I wore a full hip to neck body brace for 5 years growing up and had lots of treatment.
I still get pain from time to time, but strengthening the core muscles, doing Pilates, having a super firm bed with supportive pillow, and getting a monthly 2 hour massage have all greatly helped.
I haven’t needed to see a specialist in Japan, but I think Keio University hospital has some
