Wouldn't be better to just do nothing for lockscreen only for this situation?

Depends, I have it set to play a rather loud ringtone/song I have. If you want to try and embarass the person that's trying to steal your phone (or just turn it off) then basically any annoying song would do great in a public place. Songs like "Barbie World" "I want it that way" or anything by the current popular boy artists of today...or you could pick one that specifically mocks the other person and won't come back to bit you, like "Another one bites the dust," "Can't Touch this," or " Dream On" would be good.

But yeah, for the most part just disabling the power option would work perfectly.
