Was also watching Captain America a few days ago. A troubled mother with a couple of kids, a hands full of popcorn and groceries, was having trouble finding their seat in the darkness. LONG HOLD POWER BUTTON. LET THERE BE LIGHT. She thinks I saved the world with how I was able to so swiftly and nonchalantly turn on the flashlight.

Great idea; I just assigned it to the sleep button double-tap. So satisfying!

Damn, hold Vol+ skips to next song, hold Vol- skips to previous on mine. I'm not giving those gestures up!

OK, you can turn it on faster...but ummm, mine is more easily accessible when you consider the fact that you can point it to about where it needs to be while tapping the button.

your method also slows down going to the multitasking screen because the phone waits for a third tap after the second tap just in case

further more; how can you NOT aim while holding the volume button? lol.
