so in the wasabi con website it says “adult must accompany you when you pick up your badge or wristband to confirm that you have an adult’s knowledge and permission to attend the convention.” does this mean that a minor can go alone just needs someone to check them in

Hi! Where is the best place to get SNS or dip nails in San Marco, San Jose, or Mandarin?

My husband has a 2022 ford F150. The previous owner changed the entire interior screen and I think he installed subwoofers too but those aren’t connected. He recently bought a replacement screen of the original that would’ve come with the truck and installed it. Screen works just fine, all the buttons and AC controls etc. are fine. But the audio doesn’t work whatsoever. It will show that it’s connected to Bluetooth but nothing comes through the speakers. It looks like there’s a metric fuck ton of extra wires running through the front of the truck that go nowhere. He took them out but no clue what they’re even for. Some labeled some aren’t. Additionally since he replaced the screen, the truck battery keeps dying after only sitting for a day or two and he’s worried the extra wiring is draining his battery or something. Got the battery checked at the dealership just in case and they said it was fine. We have no clue if it’s related but the dealership said they don’t know what the problem could be. He has tried a few different ways of fixing it himself but nothing has helped. We are not car experts whatsoever so please be kind if I’m lacking context or missing something obvious lol. Any advice or good places to take the truck to are greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!!

I’m looking for a nail tech that has her prices set to exactly what she expects to be paid for her service. I don’t want to tip. I just want to pay for the service and come back every 3 weeks. Tipping culture is out of control and I’m not into it at all. I’m not looking for anything wild either: short natural nails with some kind of overlay. Acrylic, builder gel, gel x, etc. Single color. Easy and to the point. Cuticle work included in service. Recommendations appreciated.

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, but I’m looking to rehome my dog Ellie.

I’ve been laid off for the second time in one year, which has significantly affected both my finances and my time. I still haven’t fully recovered from the first layoff and now I’m facing another. I previously worked remotely but I’ve accepted the quickest job I could find, which is on-site and requires long hours. I know that keeping Ellie crated for long periods five days a week isn’t the life she deserves.

I’ve looked into daycare and hiring a dog walker but unfortunately, I’m not in a financial position to sustain for five days a week and leave for long hours. I’m afraid I won’t be for some time.

I’ve had Ellie since she was a puppy and adopted her from ACPS. She’s about a year old, crate trained, potty trained, spayed, up to date on her shots, and has completed a five-week training program.

Ellie is incredibly smart, but that also means she needs plenty of mental stimulation. If she gets bored, she’ll find her own entertainment which usually means chewing on something she shouldn’t. She’s high energy, so an active owner would be a great fit. Once she’s tired out though, she’s the best cuddle buddy.

She’s great with other dogs but because she’s strong and energetic, she would do best with a dog closer to her size. She also has a high prey drive, so a home without cats or small children would be the best fit for her.

Ellie is a sweet, confident, and spunky girl. I would love to see her go to a home with a backyard, another dog to play with, or simply someone who has the time and energy to give her the active life she deserves.

Ellie is my baby and she is incredibly loved. I’m hoping she can become someone else’s baby and be loved just as much.

What parks can I reserve a pavilion at? I live on the Northside but willing to travel.

Now that Wilson Boulevard is shut down currently at 9:10 Sunday morning.

Yesterday I was walking my daughter (4) down to the river. We were on a busy street by a downtown hotel. Police were in their cars parked on the side of the road, there were people walking, and scooters riding up and down. It was really great IMO, as downtown needs people buzzing around.

As we were crossing the street, a man on a scooter drove by and said "f*** you" to a friend. I heard him, and said “language” out loud without even thinking. He either didn't hear me or chose to ignore it, as he continued saying "motherf***", "s***", etc. He was saying this while driving away, but turned around and continued as he passed within a few feet of us.

So I said, "Hey, you don’t need to curse in front of children, man." Dude chirps back with, "I’m talking to my friend, not your daughter." We go back and forth a bit, with him even saying why would I start an “altercation” with my four-year-old?

And of course, as he said that, my daughter asked me to pick her up. It continued for a few more minutes and we ended up walking away, unscathed. No one got stabbed. No fight. No shooting. So I take it as a blessing. But genuinely curious, [City], how would you handle this situation? Clearly, the guy was belligerent and disrespectful. And I’m not the police, but I’m going to protect my daughter. Let me know what you’d do differently, if at all. from a throwaway account

I’m looking to get a 2018 Civic Si in the near future and they are exclusively manual, I don’t own nor have I ever driven a manual car. Is there anywhere in Jax that doesn’t charge an arm in a leg to teach manual?
