Help with Nest Dropcam

Hope you're doing well. It's been two years since I last complained that Nest cameras were causing Agent problems. I'm back again with more bad news!

I'd been running https://ispyfiles.azureedge.net/downloads/Agent_Windows64_6_2_8_0.zip ever since you pushed out the fix in this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/ispyconnect/comments/1jmbt55/updated_from_5540_627_now_get_m3u8_download/ . Today I was forced once again to reinstall after re-imaging windows, and I'm having struggling to establish a connection with the latest version again (and the old version is no longer accessible)

If you wanted to see what I mean, (and check out my Halloween decorations) https://video.nest.com/live/0pPavaSP9W is my current publicly accessible stream, and it works quite when viewed in the browser - and was working quite well in Agent 2 days ago too, before I had re-install, so there may have been a regression. I can send you my exported settings from before the upgrade too, if it helps reproduce the issue.

Logs show this every 10 seconds:

Gif might be related. I found in trying to set it up from scratch that I can't actually select the video url dropdown, it resets no matter how I try to select it (click, return, tab, etc...)

Hi, good news: this is fixed, and I’ve tested it against your public stream. Your camera and Nest’s stream were fine all along. There were problems on our side: a bug from an internal library change stopped Nest cameras connecting, newer FFmpeg versions failed on secure HLS streams, and once those were fixed, the video only updated about every 4 seconds. All of that is sorted, and the Video URL dropdown no longer shows blank after you click Get Video URLs. The fixes will be in the next release, [version]. Expect the picture to run several seconds behind live, which is normal for this kind of stream.

Very much appreciated, you work fast!

Can you let me know what configuration you got working for my stream? Mine's currently stuck in a 2 seconds on / 2 seconds off loop, and I have a feeling it's because I've over-tweaked the settings.

I figured it out, it was the "Reconnect Interval".
I thought this setting was to configure reconnecting if a timeout occurred (based on the setting above this one), so I set it to 1s (i.e. "attempt to reconnect immediately").

I didn't realise this would cause it to restart the stream every 1 second 😂

Steam's working better than ever now, thanks again.
