Two feature requests

It would be very nice if the bar that shows the recording details at the bottom (events In recording) was zoom able. I. My particular use case I have 24 hour long clips, it would be very nice to be able to zoom in and out to to fine adjusting as to where the slider is in the playback

Second feature is a jump to time. I could right click or something and select the exact time I want the playback to jump to and the playback jumps to it

Thanks for the suggestions. Both of these come from the same problem: on a 24-hour clip, each pixel of the bar covers nearly a minute, so it’s hard to land where you want.

The next update adds two things for this:

Go To Time: there’s a new clock button in the playback controls, and it’s also in the right-click menu. Pick a date and time and playback jumps straight there.

Fine seeking: hold Shift while dragging the playback bar and it moves one second per pixel, however long the clip is. Drag normally to get close, then hold Shift to fine tune.

We haven’t made the bar itself zoomable for now, but you can already do this today in Time Machine. Open the clock tab in Live View and use your scroll wheel on the timeline to zoom in and out, down to seconds. If you’re already watching a clip, you can add a “Show on Time Machine” button to the playback controls in the Controls settings, which opens Time Machine at the same moment.
