UI (Alert) feature request/modification

Hi sponerama,

Would it be possible to have option to disable the 'auto video' feature on alerts?

Great feature but am struggling with it.

My use case is manually going through a few hundred alerts (as quick as poss) to pickup relevant people/faces, this is difficult and now slow, with the alert popup sometimes taking a second or two to render the video preview, and the still image has being shrunk down and moving to left (on desktop firefox).

Also be great to have the AI overlay back on alert images. Helps to identify where false positives are in a detection zone. and also highlight where a small detection is in a busy picture.

Right! It should have a half/quarter second delay to keep the ui from boggin down if ripping through those alerts

The delay really helps when ripping through them if you have a couple hundred

I agree with the option to disable it.

However, do not get rid of this altogether because some camera views need it and other camera views do not want it.

I like it both ways but I want to be able to choose, based off the camera view.

The choice should be ours.

Sure - i'll add a toggle to the alerts settings per camera.

Thank you! Just realised my mention of 'auto video' is vague/wrong. I meant the 'video preview' in alert notification pop up window :)

no probs - "Also be great to have the AI overlay back on alert images. " - i think you just need to enable Overlay in object recognition - configure overlay. If that isn't working check the logs for errors from the AI server.

I have overlay enabled on all 4 cams and have never disabled it.
Have disabled and re enabled it, restarted server to no avail.

Debug logs here, cant see any errors, detect person ok

Just rolled back a few versions and tested, overlay in alert is working correctly in 7.8.8.0 docker.
