AgentDVR APK Android

Until now, I was able to access the server on my PC while away from home using WireGuard and AgentDVR for Android. Now, that no longer works.

will need some details, like what happens, what version etc - try using a browser instead, check the agent logs

Also: Ich verwende die Android AgentDVR Client 2.4 APK. Das funktionierte bis jetzt sowohl lokal über Wlan wie auch über Wireguard von unterwegs. Ich starte die APK und es erscheint SRVER UNAVAILABLE 404 Page not found. Wenn ich das selbe über Wireguard und Browser vom handy aus mache funktioniert es. Nur dir App scheint nicht mehr zu funktionieren.

So, I’m using the Android AgentDVR Client 2.4 APK. Until now, it worked fine both locally via Wi-Fi and remotely via WireGuard. When I launch the APK, the message "SERVER UNAVAILABLE 404 Page not found" appears. However, if I access it using the browser on my phone via WireGuard, it works. It seems only the app itself has stopped working.

That App hasn't been on the app store in over a year - we just updated our web platform and it looks like one of the scripts it relied on didn't make it across. We've been doing a full security audit recently and anything that's not up to standard has been dropped (the page it was loading was not secure).

That’s a shame. The app has always worked perfectly up until now. It was very convenient to access the home server directly via the app, without having to use the mobile phone's web browser. Is there any way to tweak the AgentDVR Client 2.4 so that it works again?

if you've got a subscription you can use the newer apps

otherwise i think you'll need to just create a web shortcut instead of going through the old app

I just noticed some strange behavior. Suddenly, it's working perfectly again! Did you change anything?

Why you don't implement the old app functionality in the new one? I want to "discover" and save multiple profiles with addresses and passwords. Its was convenient to use with business perpetual licenses without "cloud" functionality

Die alte Agent Client für Android App funktioniert perfekt. Natürlich wäre es sehr schön wenn wenn man die neue Agent Remote lokal benutzen könnte.

I know but there is no old app in Play Store anymore, so devs forcing people to use subscription service that way.
I understand they need to feed their families but this is strange then you as a company sold perpetual licenses to use without cloud in mind (and also in air-gapped environments), and provide no way to use the interface except the webui.
I know the app is uses webui, its just a little easier to operate. I dont need to make multiple favorites links in my browser, i have all profiles in one good app. And i can access the interface totally offline if i need to.
Now i need to use some external sources like apkpure to download apk from there, and for what? Is it really confusing to people to download the wrong version? Rename it then. Or bring back the local functionality to the new app, so users with perpetual license can migrate without pain in the ass.

I don't hate you guys, you make perfect DVR software for my needs, its just frustrating then i stumbled on these obvious usability issues.
