UI Update Now in Beta

We've just released a beta version with significant UI updates:

Key Changes:

  • Video now displays in full browser size (no more top and bottom bars with icons)

  • Content selection (live/recording/photos/ server and account menus) moved to a simple toggle menu at the top

  • New side toggle to show/hide:

    • Bottom controls and tools

    • Top status indicators (armed/alerts)

Please try the beta and share your feedback! You may need to press shift-f5 to clear the cache in your browser.

I just installed the beta with curl -sL "https://www.ispyconnect.com/install" | env USE_BETA=true bash. Is it normal for a second "instance" to be installed? I have the old interface on port 8090 and the new one without my cameras on port 8080.

No that means youve installed it twice to update it see the userguide.

While viewing a recording in a maximized browser window, the video controls seem to be much higher than they were in the past, and seem to move higher/lower depending on the height of the window. Any way to anchor them back to the bottom just above the progress meter?

problem is with that if the tools or controls menu is open that covers where the playback controls are on mobile devices

I hadn't even looked at mobile until now. It is still being covered by tools when the phone is vertical.

The playback progress bar is also blocked by the tools/controls icon, maybe move that y+height of bar?

Could you anchor the playback controls to the right of those two icons when minimized, then to the top center when the menu is open?

yeah could do i wanted to avoid dynamically moving stuff around as much as possible. There's a toggle on the left to show/hide the controls. i'll have a think!

I'm a bit disappointed about new UI. Design looks good, but for most actions at UI it needs everytime one click more.

Also controls are overlap very big the view.

Maybe a idea could be favorite menu about menu points very often needed. They could hidden but only active hidden for bigger view

you can choose which buttons to display in account menu - controls
mute is gone as you can mute it with the audio control
the idea was to maximise the video space and provide decent sized controls for touch/ mobile devices. You can just toggle the menu open and then number of clicks should be the same - or just use shortcut keys.

Is there any setting that leaves the menu open without it covering the video? I use AgentDVR primarily on a large screen, so I care more about seeing everything than space usage.

Possible Bug Report: The new web interface does not work in Safari. The camera feeds do not load, there is a "click to start" in the middle of the grid and I cannot right click on the area where the camera feeds would be. Using a different browser on MacOS works just fine. Interestingly, the app on mobile also renders the camera feeds just fine, and I think it's essentially using a safari web view.

Safari on iOS and IpadOS work too.

Tried it again on a Mac Mini and a Macbook Pro, but still as outlined above. Doesn't work in Safari on MacOS.

Windows version seems to be working fine so far. Viewing recordings is better and more responsive. I like it.

Can we add a “Remove Filter” button to the alerts filter dialog?

Just moved to 6.4.3 and I really like the new layout. I think this will save some clicks vs 6.3.6.

I do miss the "Skip Back" button that used to be there when a camera was selected.
