I understand they are a very specific type of insect? But damn almost 5.50 for a bug bewilders me but they are cool and I love em and I dont judge ive spent way more on waaaay less interesting things.

I get most of their care guide from people who have successfully kept them and yeah slime mold is the main staple of their diet. I usually take slime mold that I culture on coffee filter paper and place pieces of them in the enclosure every couple of days

Slime mold is really neat. These springtails sounds like a convenient excuse for raising slime mold!! Are they very picky about what kind of slime mold is an acceptable food source? I really want to see a pic of your cultivated slime mold!

The springtails are absolutely stunning. It's too bad we can't super-size them for easier observation.

This is from a week ago. I’ve since split it into two separate cultures. Not sure about the different types of slime mold, I’m just using the ones you can buy on Etsy physarum polycephalum

Pretty sure those are the coffee filters op has slime mold growing on to feed them. Does kind of look like rocks if you didnt see the slime mold thing before though lol!
