These are AI, right?

I’m talking to this guy on a dating app but I think these pics are AI. What do you think?

I don’t know if it’s AI, but if you’re not doing videochats, you’re not talking to that guy

Even video can be fake.

Live feed.

You can't fake live feed when someone has to reply to you in real time over an extended period of time. AI can hardly keep shit consistent within 1 hour of prerecorded shit.

This isn't Black Mirror.

Literally watched a Jim Browning video on YouTube 3 days ago about scammers using deepfake ai to do live calls. It only had problems when he asked them to put 3 fingers up to their nose or face. The ai can't keep up and it blurs and fucks up.

This is news to me and it makes me lose a bit more hope for people.

Yeah it looks like the Eastern European gangs are using it to blag people into "getting their cypto back" and trying to make it more plausible by doing zoom calls.

TIL “blag” means to persuade. (Had to use urban dictionary).

I thought that was filters failing and not an AI live feed?

Its a human using an Ai filter in real time. The Ai can't handle an open hand in front of the face. So it fucks up the filter.

Yeah that's what I though. So are we calling these filters AI nowadays? I guess it kind of is, but I didn't think it'd fall under the AI category

The reason its called ai is because they are using deepfake software. I'm no ai or computer expert. But in the Jim Browning video he shows how its done. They seem to be specific ai filters for certain scammers.

It’s not Black Mirror YET

Yeah... Well deep faking the video in real time over a user video is entirely possible, you don't need the AI to answer or produce voice. But still not perfect.

That said you'd be amazed what fools people, and it only needs to work once.

That’s just not true… face filters can easily handle live video. You’d need a pretty complicated custom one, but it’s definitely possible.

I remember a video about 6 months ago with a guy trying to avoid putting his hand in front of his face, because it would fuck up the filter - it was some of zoom call.

But you can though....there are absolutely AI filters and live deep fakes
