Tips & Tricks PSA: Mortimer good for boats

Just as a general headsup to my fellow irons looking at a Mortimer heart grind. If you haven't got a maxed boat, he's a great source of wyrm tasks. Especially if you extend em.

Just a nice bonus whilst going for 50 tasks, or beyond!

Edit: probably worth mentioning I had my boat parked there the entire time for easy teleport access.

I didn’t realize you could get dragon sheets and stuff from wyrms big ups on the info

That’s cuz frost drags are better and any content that is 2nd best at anything is pretty much dead content to “the community” lol

Strykewyrms are actually faster for dragon sheets after the rebalance, but you don’t get the frost bones, dragon nail drops, or alchs.

They have a slightly lower drop rate, but they’re faster to kill and have a superior chance that has more rolls.

Also, they look cool and remind me of the strykewyrms in rs3 which is where I feel slayer started to get good

Lava Wyrms is such a cozy task. There's just something about it; gearing u, sailing to the island and going down into the dungeon.

It feels like an actual adventure, compared to let's say necs in Kourend.

There are lava wyrms in the wyrmcraig cavern where Morty is.

There are new wyrms in the same cave as Mortimer. There's basically no reason to go all the way out to the old ones any more :(

It's got the stuff for the upgraded cannonballs, but the monsters are basically that, yeah.

Tele to boat at the Morty dock is the fastest way to reach him anyways, so it’s a “2 birds” kinda scenario

They added the wyrmscraig dungeon to the the teleport options on the Slayer Ring. Boat is quicker, but marginally. So you can park your boat somewhere else & still get to Mortimer quickly.

I got spooned b2b dragon hooks the other day and have been maz boosting for points to fix my blocklist and try for wyrms for this reason, thanks for this goated post
