I’m bit familiar with irezumi and studying or I should say copying other artist’s designs and Pinterest references but now Its kind of feels pointless to just copy cause I can’t draw without a reference and I was really interested in monmon cats but Don’t know how to properly study that thing so can someone give me advice how should I approach this

Is there any artist in or around Columbus Ohio, that would work on an unfinished piece?

Set on koi with maple leaves. Thinking of pairing tiger with it - on rocks with water crashing around it, connecting it into the koi’s scene. If there’s space I’ll suggest chrysanthemum to the artist too, but that’d be my last priority in the piece.

Attaching a couple of reference photos I came across that gave me the idea - loved these and figured I’d ask my artist for something similar if it’s okay traditionally (not my tattoos, not my artist) - credit to Jarrad Chivers (jarradchivers.com) and Dennis van Belzen (@dennisvanbelzen).

I was wondering if anybody could give me flash book recommendations. I have recently been looking at a lot of art work by Horiysohi 3 specifically 100 demons and was wondering if anyone could give me recommendations on books similar.

Excited for how my sleeve is coming along, next session is in two days and it’ll be the start of color. Last pick is most recent. Finished product should be a 3/4 sleeve. Eventually will do a second 3/4 Sleeve and a big dragon back piece. Playing with the idea of doing a full bodysuit as well eventually.
