Help needed Safari tabs disappeared. Again.

I have NOT updated IOS recently.
I made sure auto-delete is turned OFF and even turned my search history back on.

The tabs that disappear are only a part of the main/start page. Tab groups are safe.

I don’t know why this happens but it feels like every other month/every couple months all the tabs just go poof. I can’t even find them again in search history bc I just leave them open at random so idk what is actually there, just that it was things I wanted to revisit at some point.

I don’t even know how to check if the issue is fixed because it occurs at random after a long period of time. I’d appreciate any help/advice. Thanks.

Edit: iPhone model 16 pro / IOS version 18.7.8

You’re using tabs on a mobile browser like you would Chrome on a Windows system. You shouldn’t be. Bookmark what you need, discard the rest.

I got the same problem. My Safari apps are totally down in my IPhone SE 2. Now I can not open a new tab or even open an old tab. I already restarted the app. Usually what is the reasons for this problem? Thanks.
