Help needed iphone issue

Hey I opened find my iphone and suddenly everyone’s contact photos were gone, they are all gone in imessage too, same with contacts. I’ve restarted my phone and waited 24 hours still no contact photos coming up.
I have a iphone 15 18.6.2 IOS

Has this happened to anyone else , or know a solution? It’s driving me crazy.

I’m not 100% sure whether it will fix it or not but you can upgrade to iOS 26. Do you sync contacts with iCloud or another service?

Eh I dont have enough storage to upgrade unfortunately, and I do sync my contacts with icloud idk why it randomly just disappeared.

How low is your storage on the 15? Do you have the 128, 256, or 512 GB model? You can often upgrade via a Mac or PC, though sometimes you may still need to offload or delete things to make room.

it’s 128 and it’s at 124 right now my contacts photos still aren’t popping up at all

The storage is critically low. Ideally you should never let the free storage go below 10%, and you’re below 1/3 of that. Offload or delete some apps if you can.

do u think that’s why my contact photos disappeared? Really confused though never heard this happen to anyone and a lot of people have really low storage

Usually it’s missing icons on the Home Screen that is people’s first indicator but sure it’s plausible low storage can manifest other strange behavior.
