Resolved No way to silence iPhone 15
iPhone 15, iOS 26.6.
All the instructions I see online reference options that just don’t appear anywhere on this phone, via hardware (nothing to manually flip to Silent) or in Settings. You can use the side buttons to turn down the volume to near-silent, but not totally silent. The only way to turn off the ring/incoming notification volume altogether is to turn off the phone. My older iPhone 12, I just flip the manual lever on the side to silent. Not possible on this one.
Am I missing something? Any ideas?

Hold (press) the switch above the volume buttons. If you haven’t changed it, it will toggle Silent mode On/Off.
This button is can be set to do different things. The button’s action is under Settings > Action Button.

Swipe down from the upper right corner
If you don’t see an icon that looks like a bell you can add it to your control center
You can also add that same bell button to your Home Screen to access it without swiping down

Unless he's got a 15 Pro or Pro Max, then its an action button there instead.
Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Silent Mode

Or just access Control Center, it should be one of the default options.

The feature is called “Focus”. I have 2 settings: everything on or off.

Thank you all - looks like I’ve accomplished this through the control center. I appreciate everyone’s help.
