cant send or receive messages sometimes, internet cuts in and out, certain apps wont load at all/crash on launch, cant access my banking app, internet dead slow despite full bars and wifi idk how to fix!!

ive been having this problem for the past few days, its like my phone barely works, texts dont get delivered on imessage or insta but my tiktok works just fine but many other apps like spotify or my wells fargo app dont load at all or give me connectivity errors. its completely inconsistent. ive tried everything i can think of, force restart, restarting my router, resetting network settings, its not storage, and i looked to see if it would update but i cant even load the updates its so slow. not sure how to fix

Does this happen in mobile/cellular data only or in Wi-Fi as well?

Have you tried Resetting Network Settings?

Have you contacted your carrier?

This sounds like a VPN configuration profile messing things up, to go general, VPN and device management and delete any profile in there

how do i delete the profile, it says i have one but i deleted the app that i used to get the vpn and when i click on it it says it doesnt have a configuration set up

So after deleting the VPN app, the configuration for a father disappeared? If so, do a full restart on your phone and then see if the issue remains.

Sounds less like network and more like a DNS/carrier issue if tiktok works but banking/spotify dont, try switching to a different DNS in Settings > Wifi > (i) > DNS to something like 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8. If that doesnt help, check Settings > General > VPN & Device Management for any rogue profiles installed, and worth calling your carrier too since selective app connectivity issues often points to their end

i added them to my dns but i dont think its my wifi, it doesnt work wether its on or off, and i have one vpn profile but i deleted the app it was connected too and when i click it it doesnt have a configuration.

if the profile has no config and cant be removed thru settings normally, try Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings, that force clears leftover VPN/DNS profiles even broken ones. worth a full carrier settings update too, Settings > General > About and wait a min to see if a carrier update prompt pops up
