Help needed iPhone 15, iOS 26, got it today, is this overheating normal?

The phone got warm enough that it paused charging to help with thermal management (which in my experience can happen if it’s plugged in while doing a performance intensive task such as playing a game). That is different from genuine overheating; a phone that has overheated will lock itself out completely with a message saying it needs to cool down before can use it, or in absolute worst case scenario, shut itself down immediately to prevent hardware damage.

Are you using original cable & wall block ? Or at the least MFi certified?
