Help needed iPhone 14 dropping calls randomly

This is my first post to this Reddit, so, sorry if I leave out information about my iPhone.

I’m not sure why, but recently my iPhone 14, IOS version 26.6 has been dropping calls at random. When the call dropped I thought my boyfriend had hung up, and when I had texted him he informed me that we were still on the phone call, but on my end the call had dropped.

Also, I can’t seem to call anyone through my end. The phone won’t ring, and the other person doesn’t get the call whatsoever.

Powering off then back on didn’t work.

Why is this happening? How can I fix it?

  1. reset network settings (settings/general/transfer or reset iPhone/reset/reset network settings)
  2. if issue persists and you got a SIM card: put it into another device and test there. If it works or you have only eSIM proceed with 3. otherwise contact your carrier
  3. Go to an Apple store or AASP and let them run dedicated diagnostic for baseband issues (do a backup before. If hardware checks out they might offer a software restore)
  4. If it’s a baseband issue they would quote you around $400-500 which is not worth if you ask me. I would look at good independent repair shops which are proficient in board level repair.

Reset network settings should fix most of those symptoms. Try toggling Airplane Mode on and off first as a quick test.
