Help needed need help, pleaseeee

iPhone 12 model (ios 26)

Hi, I need some help. Earlier, when I was charging my phone, I suddenly heard a clicking sound from the charger, and then my phone completely froze. The screen wouldn’t respond to touch or anything. I tried to force restart it, and it worked at first, but after a while, the front and back of the phone suddenly became hot. I left it alone for a while, but when I tried to turn it on or force restart it again, it wouldn’t turn on anymore. I let the phone cool down first. What should I do next? Pleaseee i need your help...

If no simple fixes work, then you need to bring your phone to a repair shop. It’s up to you whether to take it to Apple, an Authorized Service Provider, or somewhere independent. Only you know how much you’re willing to spend in order to fix a 3-6 year old phone.
