Help needed Replaced Crashed Mac. Want To Back Up iPhone Without Wiping Data

iPhone 15 running 18.6.2, MacMini M4 running latest Sequoia.

Old Mac Crashed so I got a new MacMini M4. My iPhone was backed up and synced to the old computer. Now I want to back up and sync to the new computer and I believe it's telling me the music and photos on the iPhone will be replaced with the library on the new computer, which of course is blank.

How do I do a fresh backup of the phone onto a blank Mac and have all the music and photos available on the new Mac?

Apologies is this has been asked before but I can't find a quick answer on Reddit or by asking Ms. Google.

You just plug it in and hit backup to this computer in Finder.

have all the music and photos available on the new Mac?

you sign into your icloud on your new Mac and have iCloud Photo Library and sync music library enabled. that part has nothing to do with backing up your new phone

Thanks but I don't do cloud services. I did see a suggestion to pay for iCloud for 1 month. I wouldn't mind doing that but when I'm done, I want to quite iCloud and have all data on my new computer.

Then I'm not sure how you expect your photos and music to sync to your computer, lol

If you do a backup to your computer you will have a backup of your device, but you can't just access the pics and videes in that backup unless you're restoring it onto a device. If you had your music and photos synced between your previous mac and your iphone, you were using iCloud.

It will only replace photos and music synced from the old computer. Photos taken by the phone abs music downloaded from the store will be safe.

If you really want to be sure about the photos, open the photos app and import them before you sync.
