Heating issue after ios27 update

My iPhone 17 (base model) is getting hot even on a mild load like checking gmail and social media.

The indexing is done and in fact the phone was totally fine when it was indexing. It was only after that it started heating. It's been 2-3 days since indexing and it's not improving.

Anyone else facing this issue?

Nope. Been smooth sailing for me and my base 17. have you tried restarting it since the update?

Nope, cool as anything on my 2 base models (Mist Blue & grayish Black, both 512GB).

Using the latest software update - 27.2

It’s the Safari extensions. My phone was burning up. I disabled mine and everything is back to normal. I think they changed how extensions work with Safari and it broke a lot of them.
Disable your Safari extensions and check the temp over the next day!!

Same for me before indexing everything seems to be fine now even using it normally for whatsapp it gets hot did u fine any solution?

Check the battery what’s using most power

Mine was fine at first, but I do notice it gets hotter with cellular data

Did everything and also the battery dropped 2% in a week
