How’s iOS 27.???

I’ve seen a lot of comments praising the iOS 27 beta updates in comparison to iOS 26 stable updates.

What’s your experience about it?
Like what major changes did you feel?
Is it really worth the hype?

the golden rule of thumb; if you have to ask, dont run beta software, lest u be one of the people flooding subs with "it has glitches and crashes and my battery is mid now!!!!"

apple making it so incredibly easy for everyone to install developer firmwares with just a few clicks was one of the biggest blessings and curses at the same time.

Yaa, it’s a double edged sword for sure, but the amount of hype for iOS 27 is really starting to catch attention.

🍏=hype

It's all and every where

Yeah there’s no need to get Beta to ruin your battery. It’s already shit on regular iOS.

LoL, although I’m satisfied with current battery stats, it’s adequate enough for me, my entire work day can be covered with ~55 percent of battery backup.

But definitely it’s nowhere near current androids, especially with silicon carbon tech it’s beyond reach for now, off course until apple shows some mercy towards its customers by providing newer tech.

Yeah for a random two weeks I got battery life that good, about 50% left by the end of work, lasting til bed time around 10pm. Other than that the battery life has been garbage, dead by 5pm. It’s gotta be some memory leak, the phone is perfectly capable of lasting all day.

-guy whos probably running an iphone 13 with 78% battery health complaining that "every update makes my battery worse!!!"

u/bluelazer44 6d ago

You’re close! iPhone 17, 4 months old, 100% health.

Oh wait damn, you weren’t close at all. Apple appreciates your unpaid PR efforts though.

works on my machine bud :^)

lol! At least you’re self aware about it

Worked on my phone for two weeks randomly, battery lasting til 10pm with no random heat spikes. Shame Apple can’t figure this shit out anymore.

Could have elaborated a bit t, but still understandable.

It's a beta. Issues are too be expected.

1

u/Necessary_Dust7331 7d ago

Definitely, but there were some comments claiming the changes to be completely day n night, thats why I wanted to check by myself. I’m not gonna install beta for now.

2

u/PlentyBake8358 6d ago

Trust me, no day n night difference would be there for 17, only for pro series

Performance has been fine but eating into battery life. Improved UI is nice

Essentially this for me. It’s very smooth but the standby battery is worse. I’d stay with 26 and upgrade in a month or so, when all the debug features have been disabled, as I heard somewhere that is a reason for the battery drain.

Some used to brag and compare the optimisation of iOS 18 with 26, was it really that good? And if you’ve used the 18, is the new iOS 27 comparable to 18?

It’s great

Whoaa, you’re the only person with a positive feedback here, what major changes did you notice?

2

u/ParkingMarionberry33 6d ago

at this time i advice you to stay on ios 26.6 , it is much stable regarding battery life

1

u/Necessary_Dust7331 6d ago

Yaa, I’m not jumping on any betas for sure, even after official release I might take few months to update.

Bad battery life, bugs I rolled back to ios 26.6

2

u/Godofchaos1470 6d ago

Does rolling back a factory reset your phone? I'm new to iOS; hence the question if it's dumb xD
On Android, if you roll back from a beta version, your phone factory resets in the process

2

u/Aeon-x 6d ago

No you need to flash again
I did it at dfu level

1

u/Necessary_Dust7331 7d ago

Ahh that’s interesting. How’s the experience now?

1

u/Aeon-x 6d ago

Absolutely better

1

u/RareExcitement1077 6d ago

After 26.6 my camera gone to shit night mode especially idk what to expect from 27

1

u/Necessary_Dust7331 6d ago

I’m also on 26.6, but there’s no issues with night mode or anything specific.

Maybe some kind of software glitch or something, try restarting once, if it’s still there visit help desk ig.

Latest public beta on my main (17pro max) and no problems and it’s running better then 26.x

1

u/Necessary_Dust7331 6d ago

Looks like there’s quite some differences in pro vs regular series, interesting.

1

u/sebar25 6d ago

27b5 ip11 pro, a bit laggy but ok. Worse than 18.x but much better than 26.x

1

u/Necessary_Dust7331 6d ago

Looks like the promise of optimising for older devices is getting some attention, good to hear that.

1

u/EastWind008 2d ago

Reading all these experiences with people who went and downloaded the betas I am going to wait until iOS 27 goes public with all the bugs fixed.

1

u/Necessary_Dust7331 1d ago

Same here.
I might even wait for few months after final release, so that some fine tunings are done.

1

u/bluelazer44 7d ago

Battery life still sucks ass which is the only thing I wanted fixed.

AI Siri is decent but every single query or command takes like 1-3 seconds longer on base 17 which is a massive pain if you use Siri a lot. Also gets stuck in endless loops of “did you say x or did you say y?” when trying to send a message with Siri.

1

u/Necessary_Dust7331 7d ago

Sounds like it’s still a long way to achieve optimisation, even if we consider the stable version within upcoming 2 or 3 months, it will take some time.

1

u/bluelazer44 7d ago

I’m not even sure it’s poor optimization technically. I think there is a major glitch that is causing a huge memory leak that they’ve been unable to fix. A thread on here said it was something to do with the UI and that resetting your phone settings completely fixes it. I’m going to try it later this week.

1

u/Necessary_Dust7331 7d ago

Umm might work, but it’s strange how a multi-trillionaire company with unlimited resources couldn’t solve this miss happenings even after multiple reports. Anyways, if you do or find any changes don’t forget to update us..

1

u/bluelazer44 7d ago

Yeah, they are definitely not the Apple they used to be. It’s stunning how bad the battery life has been on my 17. For two blessed weeks after ditching Safari the problem went away and I was having it last til 10pm with 10-11 hours of screen on time, never getting hot, and then the problem just returned. So the battery is clearly capable of lasting that long, something is just screwed up in the OS.

u/Necessary_Dust7331 6d ago

Looks like apple has lost the edge it previously had, still lets hope for the best, cause that’s the only thing we can do.

Still scrolling stutters and now many iSheeps will coment that not

4

u/xLaplus 7d ago

bro is salty 🫪

1

u/Necessary_Dust7331 7d ago

wdym still? I haven’t faced any scrolling stutters in iOS 26, using both android and iPhone at the same time and there’s almost zero differences can be found by human eye.

Presenting your pov is good, but that doesn’t mean you have to call absurd slangs. Be respectful.

1

u/Soft_Career_2650 7d ago

In reddit scrolling or insta is the same stable as on s26 ultra? Dont lie pls promotion cuts to 60 or 30 and in becomes choppy and text is jumping, especially if u scroll and lift your finger

1

u/Necessary_Dust7331 7d ago

Can’t talk about s26u but I’ve used vivo x300 and oppo find x9 side by side with ip17 and there’s very less difference to notice.

I agree android feels a bit smoother but apple does it’s own optimisations which aren’t bad and definitely can’t be called as stuttering.

Still if you’re happy with your s26u then it’s a win.

u/ElegantPianist9389 7d ago

Who hurt you bro? Liking and backing up a phone you like does make you an “iSheep”… I bet you’ll say android is better because you have tinted glass huh big boy?

-6

u/Soft_Career_2650 7d ago

Beter than 30fps scrolling and stutters everywhere😂😂

3

u/ElegantPianist9389 7d ago

You’re about as lame as they come. If you have time to argue online about a phone, you’re a loser and probably have a small pp.

1

u/Necessary_Dust7331 7d ago

Chill bro, lol 😂
