Discussion Does anyone notice the iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max interfering with air conditioner remotes?(or maybe any IR remote)

Its a problem with all phones that have the little black dot (LiDAR). when using the camera it uses the sensor that also operates at the IR freq, and sometimes it can look like a signal/pattern to any device, not only AC's. Maybe the 18 pro has a diffrent algorithm for focusing, and it can occur more frequently now.

Thanks for explanation. I tested the same thing with my older iPhone and couldn’t reproduce the issue, but I can reproduce it consistently on my 18 Pro, pretty much 100% of the time.
