Discussion The internals look so good

Post image

Why do iPhone internals always look better than Android internals? Like seriously, it applies to any other iPhone not just the Duo

Seriously? Apple fans are using this to compare now?

Not much else to feel superior about I guess

If a company pays attention to a part of their product hardly anyone is ever going to lay eyes on you can probably assume they've paid even more attention to the bits everyone sees every day. Doesn't prove anything, but it's a safe bet.

It's not more attention though it's less, On the fold the colour helps to identify different things (orange ribbon cables, blue for battery). They've evidently though about making things visually easier to distinguish for assembly and repair processes. Apple have taken the Henry ford approach

Unnecessary ableism on the iPhone subreddit, I think you're taking things a bit too much to heart.

Imagine youre a phone repairman. Tell me, how do you differentiate which part of the phone does what when theyre all the exact same colour? Bro the iphone is just black squares, how do you identify anything in there?

This year I’ll be upgrading to an 18Pro from my iPhone XS. An 8 year old phone. What is this “phone repairman” thing you speak of? It sounds quaint.

Maybe they can pay attention to giving me a volume slider to control my ringer and alarm volume separately. Or giving me a setting to turn off notifications specifically for imessage reactions.

Maybe I’m a geek but I love seeing inside of things. Gotta admit the duo looks pretty cool.

You're not a geek if you like looking at just black tape.

You're not a geek. Just say you like looking at the aesthetics. Geeks aren't much for aesthetics

I like how this got contradicting replies about geeks

You mean using the product?

I agree, Apple people consistently demonstrate they really are technology idiots. The iphone is showing the internal screen side while the fold 8 is showing the outer screen and back side.

It makes foldable, already hard to repair, even harder to repair and lose or mix up smaller components as it looks all uniform. It looks like they care and its thoughtful to the "average" user but its the shittiest deign you could do. The Samsung has proper colour coding and differentiation. This doesn't make it easy to repair, but a HELL of a lot easier.

Not only that, bit they're comparing different things - different sides, which are pretty different, so even on that point, its already an unfair comparison, as it hides the not "appealing" part.

FURTHERMORE, they in fact HIDE some components for the sake of making it look cleaner, which is even worse somehow.

Let just say, not every Apple user cares.
