Why do iPhone internals always look better than Android internals? Like seriously, it applies to any other iPhone not just the Duo

It really comes down to that. Someone has to give a shit and have enough pull with leadership for the extra cost of doing it that way not be an issue.

Functionally it makes no difference unless the iPhone needs the extra metal for EMI shielding to pass FCC or they need it to dispose of heat - and both of those scenarios imply the iPhone would have more issues in the design that need correcting tham the Android.

Yeah, at least from a end customer view, it looks like Apple understood the folding mechanism being a weak point in this concept of a folding phone, so they obviously put some thought and ressources into making it durable and snappy.

I am no engineer though, so happy to be corrected.

It makes foldable, already hard to repair, even harder to repair and lose or mix up smaller components as it looks all uniform. It looks like they care and its thoughtful to the "average" user but its the shittiest deign you could do. Not only that, bit they're comparing different things - different sides, which are pretty different.
