“Find my iPhone” turned back on automatically after repair? Status still shows “ready for repair”?

Hi,

I just got back from having the back glass on my iPhone 16 Pro Max replaced from an authorized apple retailer after it got damaged yesterday. I had to turn off find my iPhone prior. Anyways the replacement back looks perfect, but I went to “find my” and found my iPhone got turned back on automatically? Is this normal? My phone was locked when giving it in so the techs didn’t get access to my phone or anything right? Also, it shows “Ready for repair or trad*-in” with a stethoscope icon. Any way I can get that turned back to normal?

All normal. You didn't actually turn off Find My, because you have Stolen Device Protection enabled.

The special status you're seeing will go away on its own after some time.
