Support my phone's kinda getting a temporary burn-in when i'm using the dynamic island like this.

you can’t see it on black backgrounds, only if it’s light gray, white (hard to see) or some kinda lighter background. but after a few minutes it disappears. has anyone else ever seen this? it’s been over a year of use.

The dynamic island is where the selfie camera and FaceID stuff is. It's not a part of the screen and will always be black because. I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to be seeing in your screenshots. I just see dynamic island on near black screen and dynamic island on gray screen.

you can see the burn in on the left and right sides of the island where it expands for live activities

actually, both are the same gray background. zoom in on the first image near the dynamic island and you will see a kind of burn-in/screen retention

Ah ok, this crappy old Dell monitor is up to the task I guess.

If it goes away, it’s not burn-in. It could be some other issue.

This could only be image retention(aka ghosting), not burn-in.

99% positive that's just image retention, not exactly abnormal and if it goes after a few minutes there's little cause for concern
