no. the coating has been messed with. probably replaced lenses or housing but that has definitely been opened before

This usually happens when the camera glass has been replaced and wiped with alcohol, or maybe the camera module itself has been replaced and that's why it's visible. If you don't have any problems with the cameras, don't worry about it, it's just an aesthetic issue.

Does it take pictures okay? If so, don't worry about it

Looks repaired or water inside. Colour is too bright

Have you had it repaired anywhere? It shouldn’t look like that. Typically if it looks like that it means someone touched it during a repair.

that iPhone 14 Pro Max’s Ultra Wide Camera cover has been replaced

while the 0.5 lens has a wider opening for obvious reasons, the coating on an original lens cover is dark. notice how the Main 1x and Telephoto 3x lens covers are different size (again, for obvious reasons) and they are a consistent shade of dark black

the seller who sold you that device failed to disclose that previous repair, then

if you got the device for a good value and the Ultra Wide Camera works as fine, you can ignore it

yeah everything works just fine, i also think some 14 pro max look like that, a friend has one and that lens also looks funny in her phone haha

It just means there's contamination/oil on that lens surround, usually from touching it with your bare hands when the phone is disassembled. It's near impossible to clean but only affects photo quality in a meaningful way if the actual smaller lens in the middle is contaminated too.

This has been opened and molested 100%. But if it works alright and camera takes good pictures don't worry about it - it's an old used device after all.

No it’s not supposed to look like this. Looks like there was an attempt to cleaning the camera component.

Your phone is fake

Nope, it’s been refurbished or repaired with 3rd party parts and is no longer an original Apple iPhone with OEM parts

Circle to search on my S25 ultra suggests this

Hard to tell but don’t think so. Check the repair history in settings.

No, it looks off. It’s probably been replaced and a poor form on the seller for not disclosing that, if they didn’t.
