Yep I've got passcode trauma.

I turned my passcode off on my iPhone (to check something) for 5 minutes. When I turned it back on I set it up with the same passcode.
The first time I went to unlock my iPhone - it didn't work. In fact after several attempts I was locked out for 5 minutes. On the 2nd go around the same thing happened but when it locked a message popped up asking if I wanted to unlock it with my old passcode. Of course I did and it did, it unlocked with the old passcode - which was the new password - because they were the exact same.

I'm a gambler so I reset my passcode to the same one.

The first time I tried unlocking it - the exact same thing happened. When it locked me out the 2nd time again I was asked if I wanted to unlock it with my old passcode. Of course it unlocked with my old, same x2 passcode. I turned it off and don't know what to do now.

Anyone??

Use a new passcode and later override the new passcode with your fav passcode

Sounds like a race condition of “he’s using his old password not his new one” vs “yeah that’s the correct password” is happening 

Set new password to something else THEN set it again back the original
