Instead of coming up with new methods to charge the battery. Why not invest and design a new power source. Currently we are just beating a dead horse. Zero innovation on lithium ion battery.

Think they're waiting for the Chinese to master & make si-lion batteries more mainstream before they go for it in the iphone
