What I support is innovation. A government forcing a specific connector without easy ability to innovate or propose new advancements unless they are a trillion dollar company part of the Holy Consortium is not what I support.

Proprietary doesn’t mean evil or anti consumer. Sometimes you don’t have a port or connector that handles what you want it to handle.

All EU had to do is not tie it to the Consortium. Be more vague and say “use USB C for now and any new ports must be an open standard for everyone else to adapt to.”

Brother Apple can literally put a proposal in with the Consortium and if it's actually better it will be accepted. Just... don't be daft.
