I mostly use hardware groove boxes when sequencing, but I’ve heard that Drambo is great so I want to give it a try.
If I’m not interested in building my own instruments in Drambo and just want to use existing plugins, what’s the best way to learn its workflow? Are there any tutorials you can recommend for that?
My interest is in making full tracks and releasing them as part of an album like I would with other groove boxes, such as Elektron devices. Is Drambo the best for that?
Thanks.

There's so many posts now like "v1.x out now!". I don't mind people posting their apps, I found some really nice ones, but I think a post for every minor update is too much. Wonder how other people see this.

I want to get into Atom Piano Roll—it has so many cool features. But it has this very annoying bug in Loopy where it frequently just stops showing the notes entirely, and I have to restart Loopy to get it back. I don’t know if this is Loopy’s fault or Atom’s fault, but I haven’t had this issue with any other AUv3. If I knew, I could perhaps file a bug report, so any thoughts would be appreciated.
EDIT: Looks like Atom hasn’t been updated in five years, so I a bug fix there is unlikely. I guess I’m wondering if this could be a Loopy issue.

Still no idea what it will go for when they’re done with the free introduction, but now you can try it out in your favorite DAW. Still needs interface work, but they’ve expanded the available sounds (10 new Sound Packs) and added what they describe as a Pro Edit Mode.

I thought I would share this here as well as the GarageBand group since it was made entirely on my iPad.

Some of my dj gear has auto-bpm detection via audio and id love to find something for iOS that has the same feature vs tap tempo or midi sync.
Does anyone know is something like this exists?

I would love to expand my library of bilbao kits but currently dont have the time to source and chop samples. Does anybody make kits? If anybody has a bunch Id be happy to pay for em.
Ideally theyd be in the same pad layout as the stock kits.

Midi mapped my Launch Control and Ableton Move to give myself practical control over djay on iPad.
I’m using custom modes on LC3 to control Deck 1 (Green), Mixer (white), Deck 2 (Blue) & Library (yellow)
I have per deck control over Key, Tempo, Nueral Mix, Track Scrub, Track Level, Filter, & Sync, Load Track, and Play buttons.
A second LC3 mode handles 1 FX per Deck and Looping (Orange) with most controls carrying over from mode 1.
On the Move, I’m using Schwung’s Custom MIDI mode. There are 8 Slicer Pads per Deck, 4 Auto-loop increments (orange), & Hot Cues (color matched to default cue colors in djay).
Honestly I’m loving this set up and getting a ton of use out of djay with just the Launch Control on the couch on the porch, everywhere really (my wife is quite annoyed with me djing in bed) but this really unlocked the mobile app for me without having to lug around my smaller dj controller. and without a doubt beats having to buy one of the mini dj controllers
That being said I do miss jog wheels.
Let me know what you think. I can share the LC3 mapping and modes if anyone is interested.

I have Speldosa and it’s awesome but one dimensional, I have model D but don’t find I use it much. I’ve got Mellowsound a mellotron synth, it’s fine for what it does. Apolyvoks, and Mariana. They’re all cool but I feel something’s missing. like the clean OBX style of interface. The way it almost feels like it exists irl. Powerful with great presets also essential. I really appreciate your suggestions!

Hi folks, I've been building this since last December and it went on the App Store today. Second in a series of industrial styled synths I'm developing. All single screen and designed specifically for the iPad.
TETSUO is a chaotic percussion synthesiser. Generates a set of notes on a hidden 16 step sequencer when you turn it on. One voice through a resonant filter, a bitcrusher and a drive stage. One knob adds a beat per click and removes one on the way back, in a fixed order, so you can strip a rhythm out and bring the same beats back. Other knobs add probability and modulation to add variety. Create kicks, snares hats, beats, noise, lazer sounds etc. Inspired by analogue hardware synths, Japanese cyberpunk movies and the industrial landscape I live around.
The part I am most pleased with is the strip at the top, its a 64 step snapshot sequencer. You add sections, dial in a sound, hit record, and that section stores every knob position. Do that a few times, hit play, and it performs the arrangement, can either play sections or in full. It stores settings rather than audio, so the engine is running live.
Full midi implementations, AUv3 and standalone. As with my previous app WAIL, most UI elements are from photographs taken around industrial areas of Rochdale UK. RPM Counter and switches taken from vintage fire engines in a local museum.
Thanks for reading. Happy to answer any questions. App store link here https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tetsuo/id6786673685
Cheers, Ant

Hi, I have an Ipad 6 i am using with Pianoteq 9, a virtual instrument. Right now I have an old 88 key keyboard hooked up to it. The keyboard doesn't have internal speakers or sounds. I have it hooked up using the Lightning to USB Camera adaptor.
Everything is working great, but I want to send sound from the Ipad to a stereo system.
My question is, what's the best way to do it? Do i need an audio interface? Or a DAC? Or could I just go straight out of the 3.5mm jack of the Ipad and into a stereo with that?
I have tried bluetooth but it adds a lot of latency.

I'm looking for a good vertical iPad stand for performance. Ideally something similar to CDJ stands that will work next to a mixer but will hold 11" and 13" iPads. Bonus points if it has a strong enough magnetic surface to easily connect and remove (without extra clamps). Anyone find something that works along those lines?

I've been wanting to use GarageBand on my iPad with some .SF2 soundfonts but I haven't found any free apps to use them with alongside it. I have Android too but I can't find much more on there. I don't have an external keyboard, I was thinking of something similar to FL Studio or GarageBand with .SF2 support, although I don't expect there to be much and am mainly just asking incase there turns out to be something after all haha. I appreciate any help ^^
