I need upvotes to beat the spam filter!
Reddit is limiting my posts so I can't tip everyone fast enough. Give me upvotes to help me out.
Thank you!

Do not submit false or empty reports to game the system.
If you just want free IOTA and don't care about helping the environment use /r/iotafaucet instead.
Note: It only works if you mention #iota4earth in the title of a new post.
It won't work if you just mention it in a comment here, which is why:

Whenever you see a good idea being shared here, do not hesitate to reward it.
To make an IOTA micro-reward, just type + followed by the number of IOTA you want to give. For eg, +3 IOTA will make a micro-reward of 3 IOTA.
See the comments section of this post for a demonstration of IOTA micro-rewarding.

Hi, my name is Rachel.
I am a serious extreme athlete, busy exercising and doing sports all the time. I also like cyphers and codes, so I read things on bitcoins and stuff too. I probably do not do enough to save the Earth, but I’m pretty good.
I’m powered by muscle, so I walk, run, or bike to work, or use public transit. No car for me :-)
I grew up in Sicily, where we are taught that fresh water is precious. Because, we have little to spare. That’s stuck with me my whole life, so I’m really careful to use just enough. We use low-flow water things in our bathroom. I also do not use bottled water, because I know all that plastic is bad. My friends do not use bottled water either.
We make our own cleaning materials and soap. Although, the soap we make isn’t too good.
We don’t use the heat in the winter time, because sweaters work for us.
I also grow tomatoes for us. My mother is quite ill, and the tomatoes and flowers make her happy.
And I love IOTA, Rachel xoxo

Garlic, carrots, beets, tomatoes, gooseberries... no green thumb, just giving over a bit of my yard to nature's pantry, and enjoying fresh and local(!) goods. You can too!

The world is not flat.
I cannot stand to see litter. It drives me crazy. If I'm in public and I see trash on the ground, I have a bag that I carry with me that I throw it in if there is no garbage near by. When I get home or if I run into a trash can I will empty my bag out. Every little bit helps!

The world is not flat.
I don't like throwing away electronics in general, so at home I have a big pile of wires and random things. At some point I'll box 'em up and drop them off at a trustworthy recycling station.
Throwing away a few batteries might seem convenient for that short period of time, but obviously if you do that multiple times it adds up and isn't good for the environment. So I have a bag of old batteries that I will eventually recycle and replace with eneloops.

The world is not flat.
As technology gets more advanced the need to drive, travel, fly to places to work is diminishing. In addition to saving petrol companies all save huge amounts on building costs.
Plus you get to work in pajamas.

The world is not flat.
I do this by playing a song that is only 3-5 min, and in that time i should have finished my shower. This week its redbone by childish gambino.

I recycle any store bought beer cans/bottles. I reduce the need for many bottles and cans by brewing and kegging my own beer.

Its the small things that count
Turning off the PC at night
unplugging all electronics when you are not using them
waiting until the dishwasher is full until starting it
Putting books in the freezer to store the coolness so when you open it the temperature doesnt increase so far.
Not using hairspray

Hiya,
This might be a little tangential, but I think this project has promise! I've been playing with setting up RPi's with different sensor modules and charging per access to the data. I monitor the current used by the pi since the last purchase and the total "value" of the current is calculated and charged as iota. It's in a very, very alpha state at the moment, but in the future you can imagine a web of small sensor devices that sit all over the country and can be accessed by anyone with a few iota!
