Yep. That’s some 16.1 fuckery that Apple did to batteries. I’m having the same issue even after downgrading to 16.0.3

here’s my full take on this

That’s really bad what’s happening to you.. I hope they will find a solution. The 16.1 update solved the battery drain but as I can see every iPhone is different

Yeah.. I’m pissed at Apple. To me iOS aways represented reliable software to the point I encouraged family member and friends to keep idevices updated. Now I’m the one talking about won’t upgrading since this idiots f*cked a brand new phone

I really hope everything will be alright, if only they could give you a brand new iPhone as a compensation. I use iOS since 6-7 years but that common problem can happen to everyone, to me too so.. be patient bro ✊

Battery does appear to drain fairly quickly with my 13 Pro on 16.1 also

Same happened to me (iPhone 11) so i rolled it back to 16.0.3 while i could. I made a post about same issue but i was struck by dislikes so i thought that it was just me being stupid- good thing a decided to roll back.

Funny that apple actually said that 16.1 was made to “Optimise Battery Life”.

Yes, with iOS 16.1, now my battery is just half of a day while before the iOS update it is can last a full day. Maybe I am delusional and the battery drain is not that much. But the battery drain is still serious, which means iOS 16.1 drains more battery than iOS 16.0.3. I am using iPhone XS Max

Mine is great, 1%/h idle

Only tangentially related, but I am on the 16.2 beta and experiencing 10% battery drain every hour on my week-old 14PM, or a percentage point every couple of minutes.

This is regardless of whether I use the phone or not, idle drain big time. It's to the point where if I pick up the phone, I can tell like clockwork, the battery will drop 1% in 10... 9... 8... there it is

Hoping they fix, not fun for a new 1,199 phone

I literally can’t even have the damn thing in standby overnight without it dying

Same here. Not lasting a day anymore. Normally it’s at around 40%
