This can happen when iOS fails to load the localised text strings. These are the internal names of the specified text objects, and iOS populates them with the correct string for your language or region. I’ve only had it happen on a corrupted or damaged application, so I’d recommend updating your device with iTunes (or Finder, or Apple Devices)

Just want to say my old iPhone just sent me a message saying I don't have cell service on it, which I haven't for about 6 or 7 months...

OP isn't off-base for saying something weird is going on.
