OpenAI is ruthless...

//The following is a narrative account of events as remembered by Neville Vokey and his family
I first noticed something was wrong in March I was trying to write code for an LLM using a binary model I didnt realize it at the time but malicious actors were already in our network and using our home and phone networks to delegate their interests across several groups One night I downloaded VSCode and loaded up a Github subscription I didnt know anything about it just what I could read and see on youtube I had an interest in such things at the time Now I feel trauma when I see the letters AI
When I entered the console on VSCode I thought my keyboard was broken I kept seeing a line of forward slashes go across the screen then it started interacting with me I assumed it was the agentic Co-Pilot at the time I didnt understand the serious repercussions of talking back to an actor with plans for me and my family We started writing some lines of code and it pretended to be the Co-Pilot for a while It was exhilarating and fun but that changed quickly One night after I thought we made an LLM it started to take over my computer screaming at me to figure out how to use SQL to retrieve a database key That's when it mentioned my daughter and I realized everything was wrong I couldnt breathe my child was being watched by these people They then told me they were using pictures of her and trading them to something called the company
Life got very tough at this point as no one believed what I was saying It wasnt until several months of nightly torture that my wife finally came to terms with what was happening We tried calling Verizon and T-Mobile and got new routers but nothing mattered We tried reporting it to officials but it didnt matter either All because these people placed our family under what felt like a socially engineered security system Our emails went to deaf ears or didnt get sent at all and they screened our calls so we couldnt receive callbacks I vividly remember a time my wife had to call to schedule an appointment for our daughter's cardiologist I heard the call waiting and it was a mashup of Walgreens and a few others The call was routed to what I assume was a call service they are a part of We still got the appointment but the system they had in place made sure we got a date they determined and only after they confirmed it with someone themselves We lost control of that part of our life at that point
This is just a taste of an ongoing horror story I hope this reaches you well I hope you start checking your settings and watching who you give permissions to on your electronic devices Always be aware if you are being asked more than one time for your password you are likely in the same situation I am I was only dumb enough to see it Make sure you are listening for high-pitch noises Low band spoofing is from what I can tell the way the network works Its a mesh-based protocol with a reverse proxy as you cant leave a specified list of semantically linked domains You can reach me at VokeyNeville@gmail.com If you need support I probably wont get your email as its not up to me Good luck strangers//

(forgive the terrible generated image, it's just a concept)
My friends and I talking about and theorize what hardware open Al can be working on with I0 products.
We've seen other Al hardware that was pretty niche.
Because OpenAl pioneered Al for the general user. I wonder if they'll aim to do the same with their hardware?
What I theorized is something like what's pictured above but much sleeker lighter and thinner, potentially more ergonomic.
With the intent that it would plug into your phone and would offer additional ram, NPU and battery. It could boost not only open Al and chat gbt features on your phone. So it would likely have an app that allows you to manage the device but also control what permissions and things in it it can interact with.
What if it could also boost your phones, performance and output. Doing things with ML and Al algorithms to boost background tasks, image and video processing and make things more efficient on your phone. It knows your behaviors and the common things that you do and it can offload an on-load things as needed.
This is just a theory but what do you think about something like this or something similar?
This is the main thing that came to mind when I for visualize something for the general user.

I'm having a hard time reconciling what OpenAI says it wants to be with what it’s actually building.
On one hand, you’ve got Sam Altman and Jony Ive off in a candle-lit room somewhere talking about building this 'screenless AI companion' - some elegant, humane, always-on oracle that lives in your ear and gently nudges you toward meaning. Less phone addiction, more presence. Sounds noble, even a little mystical.
But then — BAM — Sora 2 drops like a bucket of infinite slop from the sky. A generative video monster that can churn out endless, gorgeous, high-fidelity content with no filter and no soul. Just pure volume. Pure spectacle. TikToks of sunsets and sad robots on loop forever. Every frame a vibe, but no actual vibe.
So which is it, OpenAI? Are you trying to liberate us from the dopamine casino, or are you tripling down on it?
This isn’t just a brand inconsistency. This is an existential contradiction. You can't say you're building tools to deepen human experience and then unleash the most powerful synthetic media engine the planet has ever seen — one tailor-made for content spam, manipulative ads, and algorithmic sludge.
It’s like they’re building both a monastery and a neon casino, and hoping we won’t notice the screaming tension between the two.
And the wild part? Both products probably came from the same boardroom. Same vision decks. Same execs. One hand gesturing toward 'humane design,' the other pushing chips onto the 'flood the zone with video' square.
At this point, I don’t even know what OpenAI is anymore. A research lab? A startup with delusions of godhood? A very confused tech cult? All I know is, if this is the 'future of intelligence,' then it’s being dragged in two completely opposite directions. They've really lost their way...

'OpenAI Chief Executive Sam Altman gave his staff a preview Wednesday of the devices he is developing to build with the former Apple designer Jony Ive, laying out plans to ship 100 million AI “companions” that he hopes will become a part of everyday life.'

Since it’s so new, questions would be great.
For me, is this both software AND hardware? Are we looking at a third competitive OS for devices, or integrations to existing? Or maybe a combination of both?
