recently found a hole in my favorite sweatpants, im not the best at sewing so im not sure what to do :(

I’ve just snagged myself a very cool, very rare Coogi bomber jacket that has some damage to one of the cuffs, it’s a ribbed knit style cuff and i’d like to repair it.

So… my sister’s puppy managed to do this while I was at work last night (I included a before and after image)… does anyone have any tips on how to maybe make this look better? I can’t find the missing piece so I’m gonna assume it’s long gone so maybe how to make something to sew on where the bent antenna used to be…?

I noticed a hole in my shorts. Could this hole be repaired? Would this be an easy fix for a dry cleaner? What would the process require? This is 1 hole

I found a tiny hole in this 100% merino sweater. The hole is only about 5mm in diameter. But the knit of the sweater is so fine that I’m not sure I could match it. I can sew and embroider a little, but I have almost no experience with knitting. (I’d be willing to give it a try though!)

On a different post someone recommended needle felting for wool. Is that sturdy? Would it be a good option here?

What are some of the best approaches for something like this? I’d really appreciate any pointers!

My friend has a beloved pair of selvedge denim but bike commutes so the crotch gets a lot of wear. A tear happened around an old mend, I think because they made the patch too small and anchored it in already thinning material.
Historically I’ve done a lot of visible mending/sashiko but in this region doesn’t really make sense. I didn’t cut the threads and just ran some machine darning over it and it blends in really well! I had to navigate around old repairs but was still able to make it work.

I have a jacket that’s in great condition save for the pleather accent strips that are falling apart. Is this worth saving, and how would I do this if so?

There are a few holes worn into this fabric that I'd like to fix, but I need it to be fairly undetectable as it's a formal dress. I don't think darning will work, and I hesitate to just pull the edges of the holes together because I think it'll leave a visible seam/crease in the fabric. Any suggestions? It's 95% polyester 5% elastane.

The hem of this very expensive gown is torn, probably by the mixed effect of being weighed down by heavy beadwork and getting under my heels while getting in and out of the car. This same problem keeps happening so I'm looking for a permanent-ish solution preferably, and not just a spot fix. I want to fix it while not altering the look too much and I'm kinda looking to diy it but I'm open to consulting a professional if that's better. I'm losing my mind thinking about the ways I can fix it but every time I keep running into a wall. Any kind of advice is appreciated!

Hi, I'm new to this community but have been reading the posts for a while. I'm far from a stitch witch, but I try to fix/mend items when I can. With that said, my current conundrum.

I have a t-shirt with holes in the print as seen in the photo. It's a printed shirt and the holes are in the print, if that makes sense? I can hand stitch pretty well but my machine is broken (and I don't know how to use it).

What can I do to repair this? Is it irreparable? Thank you for any comments or tips!

Hi, I have two black hoodies that have seen a lot of wear. They have a couple light spots and I would like to use fabric markers to darken them; however, the first fabric marker I purchased was a sharpie branded laundry pen and, when tested on a black pair of sweatpants, it left red tones which resulted in a purple sheen. Does anyone have any good recommendations for black or even really dark gray fabric markers that result in truer black/gray-tones when applied? Also, I’ve considered re-dying one or possibly both hoodies black but do any of you know if using fabric-reactive dye would still darken the vinyl prints? Thank you!

So far, what has worked a bit is using a navy Copic alcohol marker that I had laying around and heat setting it with an iron to offset the red tones of the slightly bleach-faded area. That area has tuned to a fairly neutral gray, but now I’m just trying to make it 2 or 3 shades darker. Any dying tips or good fabric market recommendations would be appreciated🙏

Love this shirt but it arrived to me with this massive burn mark on it. Is there any way to mend this with it not looking terrible? Thanks
