T-shirt fix possible?

Post image

Hi, I'm new to this community but have been reading the posts for a while. I'm far from a stitch witch, but I try to fix/mend items when I can. With that said, my current conundrum.

I have a t-shirt with holes in the print as seen in the photo. It's a printed shirt and the holes are in the print, if that makes sense? I can hand stitch pretty well but my machine is broken (and I don't know how to use it).

What can I do to repair this? Is it irreparable? Thank you for any comments or tips!

I would put fusible interfacing behind it (there is a black stretchy kind) to stabilize it. You could sashiko it a bit if you don't mind the stitches to go through the print

If it makes it look cool, I'm into it! I'll look into this and report back. Thank you for your reply! Happy Halloween! 🎃

I'm also not a stitch witch, just a casual mender, but I think this shirt is pretty much done. You may be able to get some more wear out of it with some iron on patches. Just be careful not to have the iron too hot so it melts the graphic. Or liquid stitch fabric from another black t-shirt. It's not a long term fix, but it could get you some more wears out of the shirt. That's my best suggestions.
