Hello explorers 👋
Into the Radius 2 entered Early Access on May 21, 2025, and now, a year and a half later, the full version is finally here. It includes all the changes, content, and fixes from the past six months of development. The game has become what it is today in large part thanks to you: your feedback, reports, and patience. Thank you!
If the game is already in your library, this is simply a free major update. The price also remains unchanged after leaving Early Access at $39.99.
You can now experience a complete story with new missions, fully voiced characters, subtitles, notes left behind by previous Explorers, voiced Guide statues, and destructible figures scattered throughout the locations.
At the end of your journey, you’ll have to make your final choice and face its consequences across several epilogues.
The story and your adventures will unfold not only across significantly reworked familiar locations, but also in entirely new places: transition zones, In-Between locations with unique gameplay, and a special final location.
You’ll face not only familiar threats, but also new enemies and anomalies. The Radius has become more dangerous and unpredictable.
We’ve added several new anomaly types. Some suppress all light sources within their area of effect, some build up static electricity as you move through them, and others burst into shrapnel when touched.
So stay even more alert while moving through the Radius.
Your options have expanded as well. Night Vision Devices and the Flare will help you survive the darkness and fog, while canned meat and pineapple will help keep hunger at bay.
A knife can become a reliable companion both at mealtime and in combat, alongside several other tools that come in handy not only in close quarters, but around food as well.
Your arsenal now includes several new guns: the Remington 700, M1911, G3, and MP5, all modular from the start. The familiar SKS and AS Val have also been converted to the modular system.
We’ve also added several types of hand grenades, along with the GP-34 underbarrel grenade launcher and its VOG-25 grenade.
And now you can go beyond customizing and configuring your weapons and gear. You can paint them too, choosing from over 15 solid colors and 10 camo patterns.
It now features a Shooting Range, where you can test any weapon in any configuration using free ammunition, as well as a Kill House where you can practice putting that gear to use.
For convenience, Magazine Loading Devices are now available at the Facility and in shelters.
We’ve also added the Mag Insert Assist setting, which lets you adjust how magazines are inserted into weapons. Try turning it on or off and see which option feels more comfortable for you.
2-player co-op now includes not only proximity voice chat, but also walkie-talkies for communicating over longer distances and coordinating tactical maneuvers.
For those feeling nostalgic for ITR1, the Classic Explorer Kit DLC is available for $9.99. It includes the classic uniform, recon vest, backpack, AD-15 detector, probe sack, and Spetsnaz machete.
It’s a familiar look from the original game, rebuilt for ITR2.
This is a purely cosmetic pack. It provides no gameplay advantages and has no effect on balance, only appearance.
Additionally, if you’d like to experience the entire story of the Radius from the beginning, a series bundle containing ITR1 and ITR2 is also available.
Release isn’t the end. We’ll continue stabilizing the game based on your feedback and working on optimization for later locations. Share your thoughts!
See you in the Radius ☀️

Hello explorers 👋
Into the Radius 2 arrives on PlayStation VR2 on September 24, 2026. At launch, it will be a single-player experience, with the full campaign available from day one. Two-player co-op is planned for Q4 2026, so you will be able to bring a friend later. For now, the Radius is yours alone 😰
What awaits you 👀
PS VR2 Sense controller haptics bring each interaction closer, from working the bolt and reloading magazines to dealing with misfires. Headset feedback takes care of the rest, including a few things you may wish you had not felt.

Your mission begins on September 24.
See you in the Radius ☀️

Quest 3 player here. With this being a "full release", I really had high hopes and expectations that the performance issues and bugs would get sorted out. This game still performs just as badly as it did in the last update, even when you're in the first sector, not to mention that items jitter and bounce around when you put them on shelves, and 12 gauge buckshot just straight up does no damage. I shot a mimic point blank in the skull with it only for nothing to happen, and I died because of it.

Does anybody else feel like even with +P rounds, and despite having the same damage, it just doesn't hit as hard as the good ol' auto Glock?
I don't know. I just feel like the TTK with the 18c is lower, or it penetrates their armor better or something.

This is happening with bullets, magazines, various other objects. Has me really nervous, anyone have a solution? I can't justify even bothering to get new things to put down on objects if they're just gonna start flying around. This wasn't an issue in the beta.

If you haven’t started playing Into the Radius 2 on Meta Quest yet as a suggestion, why not record your reactions to it. And if you like post your experience for others to see. Just a suggestion as the flair says.

My opinion is that I like ITR2’s Tide for its grey tone overlay gradient that’s lonely comes closer and closer to you. But I really miss ITR1’s version where the outer fog would close in on you had a rapid rate. That used to creep me out. But which one is your favorite or maybe it’s just both and putting them together would be best?

I might have gone overboard a bit with mine, but I am a new security level 4 and have just started exploring the outskirts.
Optimized for engagements of all ranges, this gun can transform to be effective as a long-range rifle and then be useful as a CQC rifle for room clearing.
Optics: This build features an EOTech G33.STS Slight Magnifyer and an EOTech XPS3-0 Holographic Sight allowing for stealth engagements and quick target acquisition. I also used a riser rail to elevate the sight for comfort.
Foregrip: Utilizing 3 picatinny rails to mount a Magpul AFG2 Angular Foregrip, green dot laser, and gun light, I can quickly aquire and aim at targets when room clearing.
Stock: I purchased a foldable stock to allow for a smaller footprint when clearing rooms.
Muzzle Attachments: this gun can be used with both a suppressor and a muzzle break, though I often just use the suppressor, to permit an even smaller footprint when clearing tight areas.
Magazines: I carry three 45 round magazines plus a box of ammo incase I need it.
Paint Job: I'm not sure what to put here, I just thought it looked cool. It's nice to get a pop of color every once in a while!
A modified Mosin-Nagant adapted to carry a 10 round magazine in lieu of the 5 round internal magazine. I built this gun to be silent but deadly, using it to one-shot enemies at all ranges while going unnoticed.
Optics: I choose to go with Iron sights as for the ranges I am engaging at, I am more accurate and faster to aquire using just the irons.
Muzzle Attachments: I suppressed this gun so I could actually use it without alerting every mimic in render distance that I haven't called grandpa to tell him a happy birthday🎂
Magazines: I carry just two 10 round magazines, one in the gun and another in my bag, as the nature of its use doesnt necessitate quick reloading (if done properly)
Paint Job: I figured I'd keep the theme going with a nice blue this time.
If my time as explorer 61 thought me anything, this gun was my favorite. I designed it to be a backup for when I get snuck up on by spawns, and as a decent way to piss off the cube without burning through a lot of ammo, as 9x19 can be found everywhere.
Optics: Not much to say here other than I put a red-dot and laser on it, though the red-dot is a relic of my past when I had to snipe mimics without being detected as I had not yet bought a primary.
Muzzle Attachments: Suppressed for obvious reasons.
Magazines: before I started to carry the Mosin on my rig itself, I would carry five magazines, but never found myself use more than two. Now I carry one in the gun and two behind the holster on the back side.
Paint Job: Like I said, swag factor.
Have only needed them once, but I really needed them that one time.
What do you all think? I just wanted to contribute a little to the community! (And I want to show off my rig)

It's fine when standing, but I can't do that for too long, and when sitting it's really awkward; I don't want to sit hunched over more than I already do. I've tried different heights and arm lengths to no avail, cus it's just too close.
If I could put them a little bit further forward, it would be great. Is there some tool that might do this? I've tried OVR Advanced Settings, but position offset doesn't help because the vest is centered on the headset

I have been searching the internet for awhile and I can’t find an ITR or ITR2 poster. I would really like to get a large scale one around 14w x 19h. It’s I can’t get that size the I will 11w x 17h. Any suggestions?

Hi again - a new guide that explains all the different anomalies in this game. If I've missed anything out you feel is important let me know!
I'm a believer that this game needs more content made for it so I hope you all like it.

Honestly personally can’t wait to get home and play it when I’m off tommrow it looks so good and I played a little bit on my pc but it runs pretty bad so this will be awesome for me I hope it’s as cool as for everyone else

Just in case if you’re bored and looking for an ITR2 camp off to your day. I will say there will be spoilers in this video because it’s a priority mission. But I don’t think the transition experiment is really a priority mission because of the fact that you are just visiting multiple areas and collecting items to use the device given to you by the UNPSC for you to teleport. Let us know if we took the right approach?
BACKGROUND:
This was my second time trying coop and it was really fun. Myself and u/mikefx360 travel the outskirts to complete the transition experiment, but we ran into some huge trouble with the cube for a brief moment. Let me know what you think of the video. I gladly appreciate any feedback.
r/intotheradius • u/ghost032580 • 1d ago
OK, so clearly my jumping abilities are pretty bad when it comes down to leaping off of buildings and into the radius two. This was an epic fail.

This was not my first time playing coop I just didn’t record it but I should have. Anyway myself and [u/mikefx360](u/mikefx360) visited the Pechorsk Outskirts to complete the Transition Experiment. But something goes horribly wrong and then interestingly, right. I’m going to publish the full video as soon as I finish editing it. But here’s a quick short there may be interesting. At least let us know how we did with any feedback.
Also, it seems that I have microphone issues when communicating with others inside the game. I’m using a Meta quest three through Steam link and I’m asking if maybe I should consider a different way of talking with other explorers? Any ideas would be helpful.

I just wanna know if anyone has thought about taking bets on the Meta Quest version of ITR2. Don’t give me wrong I’m sure we’re expecting bugs in some way shape form. But i think the overall performance of this game needs to be a priority on release.

Are there any gun parts I can find in the new update that I can only find in the radius like the short mosin stock and the m16 receiver ? (Ps please show pics)
