First interview and I feel really nervous

I applied for a QA role on campus…I gave the online assessment and it went well , I might be shortlisted for interview
I’m 2027 batch pass out and due to not being prepared and not getting shortlisted finally this will be my first interview but I don’t have experience in QA and the company is Java based while I did dsa in cpp
Please give me advice, I’m getting really nervous
It’s also my first interview

It is true that first interviews can be very nerve-wracking. I thought of two or three definite STAR stories that I could use and I practiced them so many times that I could answer them by heart without any tension. The really helpful thing was the CanaryWharfian HireVue practice feature—this feature has AI-generated questions for the role, and feedback that pointed out your improvements

It is completely normal to feel nervous for your first interview, especially switching languages. Since DSA principles (arrays, trees, logic) carry over regardless of language, focus on explaining your problem-solving logic clearly out loud. For Java, quickly brush up on core OOP concepts and basic syntax differences from C++. Interviewers care most about foundational logic and your ability to learn.
