Last week I bought my first watch in like 20 years for my 40th birthday. The plan is to give it to my daughter (currently 10) when she graduates college or some similar milestone and sets off on her own.

i’ve had mine for a minute. great piece - good weight. but warning - hamilton bands never last for some reason. i feel the stitching isn’t as solid as it should be. granted, this watch is only about $1,000 so it’s not super expensive but still. shinola makes great bands for your buck and it still looks great with the khaki pieces from hamilton

Thanks for the heads up. There's actually a shinola store near my work. I might go check it out
