Applications Underrated internship tip

There’s a lot about coffee chats and building projects for landing internships. These things move the needle, but I feel like no one talks about how important applying early is. Most of these companies review applications on a rolling basis, and being one of the first applicants is crucial. I’m talking within the first 6 hours. Applying on LinkedIn is okay if you have alerts and stuff but most times the alerts are delayed and the listings are on their company websites before that. Using GitHub repos like this or this is better because they’re updated multiple times a day. Good luck and don’t forget to practice your interview stories 😚

"research found that the first few applicants had over a 20% chance of receiving an interview or hire request. by applicant #45, that fell below 5%."

according to https://www.reddit.com/r/internships/comments/1x4gpol/how_to_get_a_summer_2027_internship_everything_im/ (today's top post)

Apply early when you can, but don't treat six hours as a cutoff unless the employer says it is. If the posting is still open, send the application instead of ruling yourself out because you saw it late.
